FAQs

Q: How can I sign up for the Coaches Fundraising Program?

A: It's simple! Click here.

Q: I am not a coach. Can I still run the fundraiser?

A: Yes, anyone who is looking to fundraising can participate in this fundraiser. You do not have to be affiliated with a school or athletic club to take advantage of this program. You can run the program as a team, league, school or class.

Q: When selling subscriptions, if check is the desired payment, who should the checks be made out to?

A: Checks collected by your players should be made out to YOUR TEAM, not ESPN The Magazine.  Once you've collected all the payments, you write out a check to ESPN The Magazine for $10 times the number of subscriptions sold.

Q: What forms of payment are acceptable to send to ESPN The Magazine?

A: Check is the only acceptable payment (Cash is not accepted).  Note that you can accept cash when selling individual subscriptions, but ultimately you must send the payment to ESPN The Magazine via check.

Q: I need an invoice in order to write a check. How do I request an invoice or other accounting forms?

A: Invoices and W-9 forms are available. For more information, email us or call us at (515) 247-2989.

Q: Is there a minimum number of orders or deadline to sell?

A: No. Sell as few or as many subscriptions as you want. The more magazines your participants sell, the larger the profit.  There is no set time frame or minimum orders to sell. You can run the program all year; however, we suggest submitting orders to ESPN every 3-4 weeks. This ensures your team receives a constant flow of money and supporters receive their magazines in a timely manner.

Q: How do I get more order forms?

A: You can make photocopies of your order form, which is available via PDF here.

Q: Does the Team have to handle magazines or product?

A: No. Just send in the order forms with the appropriate monies to ESPN The Magazine and we take care of the rest. The magazines will be mailed directly to the subscriber. The team does not have to handle any merchandise or magazines.

Q: Can a team outside the United States run this fundraiser?

A: At the present time ESPN The Magazine Coaches Fundraising Program does not accept foreign orders. Please check back from time to time to see if this has changed.

Q: How do I check on the status of my orders?

A: You can give us a call at (515) 247-2989 or email us to check the status of your orders.

Q: When will the subscriptions begin?

A: Magazine subscriptions begin approximately 6-8 weeks after ESPN receives the orders with the correct payment.

Q: Does the subscription have to be a new order or can we accept renewals?

A: New orders, renewals and extensions of existing subscriptions are all welcome! We also accept gift subscriptions. Be sure to fill in information for both the buyer and the receiver on the Fundraising Order Form.
